Dear Friends:
We just concluded the IAMOT 2011 conference in Miami Beach. From the feedback that I got, the conference was a great success. The conference was well attended, the level of presentations was high, the keynote speeches were excellent, the panel discussions were engaging, and the many other activities and meetings that took place were very constructive and rewarding. Thanks to everybody that made the conference a great success.
Over the next few weeks, I will post as much information as I can on the conference website <www.iamot2011.org> in particular the presentations of the keynote speakers and the panelists in the various panels. These presentations should be a valuable resource for the MOT community. I also invite any pictures and photos that you may have recorded to share with all by posting it through the IAMOT forum (accessible through www.iamot.org , or to e-mail to IAMOT at iamot@miami.edu
As you have heard during the conference The 5th European Conference on Management of Technology, EuroMot 2011 will be held in Tampere, Finland, 18-20 September, 2011, with the theme "Platforms and innovation - In search of efficiency and effectiveness" . The deadline for submission of the full paper has been extended to April 28, 2011. Submission guidelines and further information: www.tut.fi/euromot2011
The 21st International conference for management of Technology IAMOT2012 will be held in Taiwan. Please follow-up the announcement on IAMOT website <www.iamot.org>

Dear Authors and Presenters to the IAMOT 2011:
I am sure that many of you are busy developing your paper and presentation. We have completed the tentative IAMOT 2011 overview and detailed program. It is posted on the conference website www.iamot2011.org - Conference Program tab. To determine the time and the place of your presentation, you can search for your paper # in the detailed program using the "Find" command in Adobe reader. Please e-mail me yhosni@mail.ucf.edu or iamot@miami.edu if you have difficulty finding the paper. The paper# in the program is hyperlinked to your paper record in EDAS in case you need to perform any modifications. There is a slight room for changing the time of your presentation; however it is not guaranteed that it will be placed in the selected track. For such change, you can e-mail me with your request. As soon as I get confirmation from the "TBD" session chairs, I will post all the session chairs. There is useful information for authors, presenters, posted on IAMOT 2011 website - Instructions for Authors tab.
There are many events and opportunities that will be taking place in the conference, such as the tutorials/ workshops, panel discussion, and travel support grants. I urge you to take full advantage of such events.

Dear Friends and Colleagues:
Happy New Year.
The IAMOT2011 is progressing very well. With approximately 350 accepted papers and presentations, three tutorials/workshops, four technical panels and three keynote speakers featuring renowned leaders, academicians, and practitioners; IAMOT will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in an unprecedented style.
Despite the economic situation, IAMOT reinstated the travel grants for MOT students (See details in the Travel Grant tab in the IAMOT2011 website www.IAMOT2011.org).
The local committee is hard at work trying to organize technology related site visits in the Miami area.
By mid-January we will be posting the tentative conference program. I ask conference participants, especially internationals, to register early in order to make use of early registration rates and to allow ample time for visa and travel arrangements.
I am looking forward to greeting you in person in sunny Miami beach.

Dear friends and colleagues:
Arrangement for the 20th International conference for management of Technology (IAMOT 2011) is progressing very well. As you know the IAMOT 2011will be held in Miami Beach, Florida, USA, April 10-14, 2011. The local committee is hard at work to provide the best conference ever in celebration of the IAMOT 20th anniversary. The website for the conference is set www.iamot2011.org and we are populating the site with the variety of activities suggested by the membership to take place during the conference.
This year conference will feature, 4 preconference workshops, 3 Keynote speakers, 3 panels, Awarding the first MOT accreditation for 3 graduate programs, accredited by the Management of Technology Accreditation Board (MOTAB), and our traditional Award ceremony where we recognize the best in the profession in practice, research, and education.
The theme of the conference " Technology and the Global Challenges: Security, Energy, Water, and the Environment " is rich and timely with a room for a variety of MOT applications and experiences that is worth sharing and discussing in the MOT community.
I invite you to submit your contribution and ideas to the IAMOT 2011, be it a paper, presentation, organizing a session, a track, or a track panel.
Papers to the conference, as you know, are refereed by expert reviewers who provide suggestions and guidance. The proceedings are considered refereed publication and is used widely by academicians and practitioners worldwide. In addition selected papers are published in the MOT book series sponsored by the IAMOT.
